    Session I – 8:45 am – 10:15 am
    (1) Shots Fired!!! Active Shooter Prt 1 & Shots Fired Prt 2 by Charles Celano
    This session will assist you in recognizing signs of potential workplace violence around you. Learn to identify an active shooter and how to prepare for an emergency. As well as learning what actions to take when confronted by an active shooter. Use the skills learned in this session, and your voice to create a plan of action, including practice drills in the event of an active shooter in the workplace.

    (2) REAC & UPCS-V by Alejandro Dominguez
    A brief introduction to REAc & UPCS, why a good score matters, and UPCS scoring explained, so you don’t waste time and money on items that will not affect your score.

    Session II – 10:30 am – 12:00 pm
    (3) EIV by Kurt Aldinger
    EIV is a great tool to help us identify improper payments and streamline the verification process.  It is also very time consuming, and a major cause of MOR findings. We will cover tips and tricks to make EIV use go smoothly, as well as identifying the source of discrepancies.

    (4) Preparing for Inspection by Debbie Atilano
    Inspections are a big part of Property Management. Whether it is a REAC, Mortgage, Insurance, Owner, or other type of inspection, you want to be prepared. This class will focus on how to get your staff, residents and property ready for that “dreaded” inspection.

    (5) REAC & UPCS-V by Alejandro Dominguez
    Breakdown of the highest scoring UPCS deficiencies under Site and Building Systems.

    Session III – 1:30 pm – 2:45 pm
    (6) HUD & Local Update
    This update will cover the latest breaking news from Congress on key topics as well as the latest regulatory happenings from federal agencies impacting affordable housing programs – from HUD to RD to tax credits.  

    (7) Fair Housing & Service / Emotional Support Animal by Kate Zook
    An overview of fair housing protections that allow people with disabilities to have service and emotional support animals; tools to address requests, case summaries.

    (8) REAC & UPCS-V by Alejandro Dominguez
    Breakdown of the highest scoring UPCS deficiencies under Units, Common Areas, and Health and Safety.

    Session IV – 3:00 pm – 4:30 pm
    (9) Issues During Tenancy by Kurt Aldinger
    Each day brings new challenges that are not adequately covered by the Handbook. Come join your colleagues to hear their ideas and share yours on how to handle challenges that come our way.

    Major updates, don’t let the latest changes to UPCS catch you by surprise, and the latest on UPCS-V, which includes a timeline of implementation and what you will need to be ready.
